Then shame on this redneck from North Carolina. Of course, since I
have no wisdom, clarity or courage (you're starting to sound like my
mother Derek), I reckon' some folks will forgive me. Being a "hillbilly
redneck" from the south, I just don't know no better.

The problem with liberals is that if you disagree with them, they call
you stupid, barbaric, fascist and anything other degrading name they can
think of in an attempt to make themselves sound more enlightened. There
are wackos on the right and the left, but the majority of folks who will
vote for either Kerry or Bush are reasonable, intelligent folks who want
what's best for themselves and their family. To dismiss them as
ignorant and shameful because they vote differently than you, shows an
incredible intolerance to other's views. It amazes me.

I will vote for President Bush. Not because I hate Kerry or because I
think Bush is right on everything. And, not because I live in a
"backwards" state. Hell, we're the ones responsible for John Edwards.
I'll vote my conscience. That's all you can axe of anyone. I would
expect a liberal to be a bit more sensitive of his fellow man. I'm not
a racist, homophobe, war-monger or any other title you applied to
conservatives. I'm just a goofy guy who thinks for himself (granted,
that can be scary) and has decided that my vote is for G.W.
Having said that, Derek, none of this is meant as an insult to you or
your views. You know I enjoy your posts and I think you're a very
intelligent person. We may not agree on politics, but can we at least
agree that "All we need is 'Looking Back with' Love"!
