From: Michael@Hotmail.com              "Live At The Roxy" is a pretty bitchin' performance IMO. With regard to       including it on Smile, it was always supposed to be on the album - in fact       it's highlight on the cover. However, it doesn't really 'fit' the album, so       to speak. Then again, Our Prayer and Vega-tables don't seem to belong on the       same disc either. Man, I'm making my head hurt here.              Smile is such a diversified collection of tracks, well - maybe that's the       whole point. Compositions that are so completely and utterly different - yet       somehow seem unified in the context of the album.              Maybe I don't have a clue either! All I know is Smile contains some       superlative music...so who am I to say? Good Vibrations 'fits' because       Wilson, back in 67, said it fits and that's good enough for me!              Mike T.                                   "yesguy" |
