I believe that "Mrs. OLeary's Cow" represents the       experimental / avantgarde music of the mid 1960's (Such as the music of       Frank Zappa). I don't think "Mrs. OLeary's Cow" could be considered as       much of a sonic brick wall as "Revolution 9" was on side 4 of The Beatles       1968 self titled double album.              If you want to talk about "an       annoying disruption in the middle of a lot of beautiful music", lets talk       about "Cassius" Love Vs. "Sonny" Wilson"!              The original version of "Mrs. OLeary's Cow" with the crackling fire sound       effects (herd on some "Smile" bootlegs, and in the film "An American       Band") has always annoyed me (I much prefer the original mix without       them), and I for one am glad that Brian dropped them for this new version.              Kenn       (By the way, I love "Revolution 9" too!)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
