Thanks! Thought maybe it was just me!

In response to the other post:
I too can appreciate avante-garde music; I used to be a big fan of
some of Coltrane's weirder stuff, Sun Ra, Ornette Coleman, some rock
   electronic experiments (Seastones) etc....
BUT, I have to be in the "mood" for this, you know, sitting down and
giving it my full attention, and in a mood for "heavy" music...
(Not that "Smile" isn't "heavy", but I think you get what I mean...)

I bet MOLC WOULD be great as part of the live show, and SOMEtimes it
is fine with me, even on the album. But I am just saying that most of
the time, I find it disrupts the flow, and I wish it either wasn't
there, or was a little less intense. I do find the Beach Boys version
to be less intense, by the way, but still could do without it most of
   the time.

I agree that it is a great piece of music, I just think it disrupts
the flow on "Smile", and even if it's supposed to do that, I don't
care for it most of the time.
