    I have to agree with you totally,  Brian is a  genius. However It   
   might be all the meds he's on just to function has zapped some of his   
   emotions. The meds get rid of the bad feelings and emotions so he can   
   get out of bed. Unfortunately, they also dim his emotions  and it   
   shows up in his singing . Having raw emotions ( sometimes scary) with   
   out meds,  can produce great music, and singing.
