   I think a couple of years ago someone involved confirmed that it was a   
   poorly-erased tape that still had the previous recordings bleeding through...   
      
   FWIW, the weird noise isn't there on the original single, nor is it on the   
   vinyl and Euro CD pressings of Ten Years Of Harmony, and it's also not on   
   Best of the Brother Years.
