|    If "Smile" was released like this in 196    |

From: Pintar@webtv.net              would pop music had changed differently? Would people not have       understood the concept? Would Sgt. Pepper have been different, given       McCartney's professed love for Brian's music?              I feel that "Smile" would have inspired more concept albums because of       its American theme. The one-hit wonders would have become one-album       wonders, with no hit singles but great concepts. "Days of Future       Passed" by the Moody Blues with the "nights in white satin" is much like       the "heroes and villains" recurring refrain, you know? Well, anyway,       there would have been more albums like that.              Elmer Pintar              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
