I bought their first album (in Australia) in 1979, it was a time to find new
   60s sounding
groups. I haven't really listened to them over the years. American groups
   of the
80s did a better 60s sound to me. Teenarama I think was the stand out song.
I can't help thinking I heard a pre-album recording of it or something,
   Shades in Bed
was probably a bit too studio-like a sound. It's been a long time since I
   listened to them.
A number of groups then had pre-album releases, The Shoes, The B-52s, The
   Feelies.
The songs were always re-recorded for the album and sounding quite
   different.
