   I want to say a warm and heartfelt thank you to Mike Love and his touring   
   Beach Boys for accepting the invitation to play for the wounded soldiers   
   recovering at WRAMC in DC.  I cannot tell you what it meant to us.  I saw   
   the band back in the day when Carl was vital and alive when Brian was   
   coherant and lucid and Blondie C. was saili ng on...   
      
   This incarnation of the group was vocally wonderful and put on a tremendous   
   Christmas Show...when a soldier brought up a flag during Surfin USA, the   
   keyboard player waved it enthusiastically which made us feel like we knew   
   what we were fighting for...We fight for a place where the Beach Boys take   
   us.  May it always be there.
