Got it - just replayed it... and found the reference I asked for. The
Quote is "nobody has ever had the word "God" in the title until I wrote
   this song"

Which is what I meant with my disclaimer - "BW has stated many things
over the years - So what?" - and more so when he's in front of an
   audience.

If you need a history of BW/BB, sadly, about the last person to believe
is the man himself. He clearly doesn't remember much about the old
days. A quick read of his "Autobiography" confirms this. When he was
flogging Live at The Roxy on QVC he confirms the wonderful story of how
he was the first person to use a theremin (wrong) - he also tries to
tell the story of how he wrote In My Room in his car (wrong) - lucky the
interviewer knew the story and corrects him and tells him that it was
   Surfer Girl.

That's what it seemed to me - pointing out that BW gets things wrong is
like claiming that the sun rises in the east.

Hang on - I'm not suggesting the Big Man lied to us, that was the OP -
hence my troll alert, it is the sort of wild statement favoured by the
troll types - impune a character with some out of context quote etc...

I couldn't even recall if BW had actually stated this - you gave me a
reference, but like I said, so what that BW actually said it. I'm on
   the big guys side here

If you state something often enough, it becomes fact... Pure
supposition on my part here, but it seems someone has mentioned that GOK
is the first song to use the word God in the title and BW has picked
this up and repeated it. Maybe we can agree that GOK is the first song
to make the pop charts that uses the word God in a blasphemous manner.

And maybe that's what BW actually meant : -)

   Cheers
