   I saw Brian in Oakland in late 70's (the tour where they first used the big   
   Sloop John B set and Brian was wearing his black robe) and Carl basically   
   kicked Brian off the mic during Surfer Girl and took over the vocals.  I   
   think Mike said that Brian had laryngitis.  Man, he's had it for a long time
