   After listening more, I do like "Midnight's Another Day." Another   
   restropective, maudlin ballad that would be at home on any of Brian's   
   albums. His voice is old now, and it's fragility adds character to what   
   is basically another piano dirge in the same vein as "Surf's Up.".   
      
   The other one? An embarrassment. At his age, Brian writes another homage   
   to Judy Bowles? I wonder how she feels about this? It's simply terrible.   
   Maybe Brian wrote this as a look back at the past as part of a suite, but   
   he is simply no longer able to pull off a good performance even in the   
   studio.   
      
   Where are the Wondermints? Both songs sound like Brian has fallen back on   
   his old trick of multiple tracking of his own voice on backgrounds.
