   I don't think Brian ever had what I would call an extrememly good singing   
   voice. His strength was his range, and the "friendly" sound of it. I   
   remember reading an article many years ago about singers who had   
   "friendly" sounding voices. Steve Miller was the focus of the article.   
   Brian also, early on, used studio techniques to improve the sound of his   
   voice on record.   
      
   Van Morrison? Where did that one come from?   
      
   Of this list, I'd say Elvis. Elvis had just a great sounding natural voice.
