Oh man, I had forgotten about the Lyle Lovett atrocity....(probably to   
   try and protect my sanity)....I just don't understand how a guy who   
   influenced so many musicians...how it is they could not have put on a   
   better tribute to him...how about Elvis Costello?  Elton John? Paul   
   McCartney?  Tears for Fears? XTC?  Christ, the list is endless....but   
   no...we get Hootie and the fricken Blowfish...   
      
   And I did like the Love and Mercy segment, but I couldn't help but   
   wonder if a lot of people who only know "the hits"..were going..."WTF?   
   When did the Beach Boys ever do this song?  What the hell am I listening   
   to???"  And it sure put people back in their seats...
