Hello all... this is a long shot... but what the hell... it's driving me
   nuts...

When I was young... about 3 or 4... in the early 80s... my parents had a
Beach Boys compilation LP... which was how I was introduced to the
band... I listened to it constantly when I was about that age...

My mom died when I was 7, and subsequently, my father threw out all of
their vinyl LPs, including this one... he doesn't remember anything about
it, other than he had a Beach Boys compilation... so the only information
I have is what I can recall from the recesses of my own brain from when I
   was that age...

What I remember... On the cover there was an unidentifiable surfer riding
a wave... In my internet searching, I found an LP called "20 Golden
Greats", which I swear is the exact same cover of this compilation that
I'm trying to track down... although I know the compilation that I'm
searching for only had at most 10-12 songs on it... to my recollection,
it was 10 tracks long... though I could be off by a couple. Also, that
"20 Golden Greats" comp was a UK release... and I doubt my parents would
have imported the album, and they never visited the UK...

I remember for certain that it had these songs on it as I have very
specific memories of listening to this specific compilation and reading
   the names on the label:

   Fun, Fun, Fun
   409
   Surfin' USA
   Surfer Girl
   Barbara Ann

And I'm fairly certain these were on it as well, though not as certain as
   the above five tracks:

   California Girls
   Help Me Rhonda
   I Get Around

There's nothing particularly exceptional about it to set it apart from
other compilations... I'd like to recreate the tracklisting for myself
for nostalgia purposes only... I own a few other comps (Sounds of Summer,
Good Vibrations box set, Pet Sounds Sessions) and albums (Brian's SMiLE,
Pet Sounds a few times over on vinyl and CD, Today and Summer Nights) so
I'm sure I have all the songs that were on this compilation...

I can't find any information anywhere in regards to what that comp could
have been... it's not any of the Endless Summer comps, it's not any comp
that was released after 1983 at the very latest... and it's not any of
the three volumes of greatest hits released in the 60s...

Anyway... I realize this is a long shot... Any help would be
   appreciated... Thanks in advance...
