|    Brian Interviewed    |

From: uceftcgov@webtv.net              A very good interview with Brian (as good as it gets from Brian) appears       in Bass Player Magazine Oct. 2004 issue. He appears on the cover, inside       tells how his uncle taught him 3rds, 5ths, & 6ths on the piano, tells       how Carl taught him to play electric bass, tells how his dad showed him       some boogie on the piano, tells how he hears 6-part harmony in his head       and still has stage fright right up until the music starts playing.       (Which explains the haunted look on his face.) Also tells first hand how       he would instruct the musicians in the studio to "just play what's       written" (by him.) Like pulling teeth but the first time he has ever       described his recording techniques. He longer mixes in the studio but       leaves it to the sound engineer, (Brian's too afraid of it.) A good read       but very brief.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
