a joke? hmmm. i think the real joke is that you can't find a listing for
SMiLE on any of the charts on billboard. but you can find "the very best of
the beach boys: sounds of summer" at position number 93 this week after a 16
   week run.

for those of us who still have a massive collection of vinyl and cd singles
etc of Beach Boys, related items, BW, surf, pop, and Beatles, a SMiLE piece
would be desirable. and a promo piece for this cd from a radio station, even
   more.
i have items that hard core collectors never knew existed. i collected them
during my years of doing record shows in north america and europe.
   i'm always adding.

so before any old timer or young pup, who think they are know it alls in
this newsgroup, pass judgement on a posting, perhaps there is a reason
   behind my questioning.

now, apart from my hobby, i absolutely love this cd. the radio stations are
promoting the concert here, however, i have not heard a cut played on the
air since it's release. i know radio stinks these days, but it would be nice
to see if SMiLE could slip through the cracks and end up with radio play.
just to satisfy the BB/BW freak in me.

   - a very private collector.
