XPost: rec.music.artists.beach-boys       From: me@privacy.net              Hello,              I just finished watching the second half of "Beautiful Dreamer: Brian       Wilson" on Showtime - I was tied up with something else during the       first half, but tuned in just in time for the "making of Smile 2004"       portion.              I can state that Brian Wilson fans will definitely want to see the       very extensive and intimate footage of the process of recreating Smile       and rehearsing it for the first ever performance.              The program ends with the concluding "Good Vibrations" from the first       performance in 5.1 sound (if you have Showtime by satellite or digital       cable).              I'm sure the first half about 1966-67 Smile will be equally       illuminating (and undoubtedly someone else will comment on that).              Showtime - as usual - will be repeating the show on its various       channels starting Friday and throughout the weekend.              By the way, I have no doubt that this will be uploaded to the various       P2P systems for those who don't have access to Showtime, although I'm       sure this will eventually be released on DVD as well.                     --       Cheers,              Ken              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
