   I didn't know him personally, but I'm sorry to hear about his passing.   
      
   A search of the Google archives shows that this group was once a lively and   
   fun "place.".  At some point in the 00s, it started to become an   
   i-intellectual; participants imagined that Rush were Bush/Cheneyites.  And of   
   course now there are even Alt-   
   Righters and QAnon followers who delude themselves into thinking Rush would   
   have embraced those psychoses.     
      
   It's weird that, in spite of how articulate and outspoken Neil Peart was,   
   people project their beliefs -- *any* beliefs -- onto him.
