From the time of Neil's tragedies, this forum ceased to be so much a Rush forum
as it was a forum for Rush fans. Rush was the thing we had in common, but
since everything had been talked about a bazillion times over, we started
talking about other things. Prof was said AMR was primarily about two things:
1) A conversation amongst Rush fans, just not necessarily about Rush, and 2)
ignoring Libby.
Since we weren't all Rush all the time, and there were forums that catered to
those who wanted that, we became the red-headed stepchild of Rush groups, and
quite frankly, we liked it like that. Stereotypical Rush fans kinda scare us.
When facebook took off, and we realized we could do the same thing there we
were doing here, but with pictures and other gewgaws, AMR started circling the
drain. We're still here, checking in from time to time, but it's most the
schizophrenic ranting of Libby or the bombastic political rants of a few
maladjusted nuts.
So yes, this for is for the "power-pop trio," not the "big fat guy," but don't
expect to read to much about either here. It's mostly noise these days.
Sadder still to watch it die than never to have known it . . .
