I can guarantee you, nothing on my wall will ever reach anyone by accident,
not even on my drunkest of drunk weekends. **(Explained below)

As opposed to here, where we have to maintain ever-growing killfiles? ;)
This newsgroup right now is 90% content from those "garbage inbetween"
posters. (BTW, it's just as easy to killfile on FaceBook as it is here on
   Usenet.)

   Anyway,

**Here's the perspective from which I was looking at it.

   - On Usenet, there's not a thing that I or anyone else can do, as it was put
the other day, to prevent my/your "fucking mom and fucking grandma" from
reading everything that takes place in any given newsgroup. (That dang
"Google Groups" gateway has already introduced more moms and grandmas to
these forums than most people are willing to admit.)

   - On Facebook, even if I were for some stoned-out reason to miss the group
page, I have bullet-proofed my wall from slip-ups by locking it down to
"Friends Only" reading, instead of the "Friends and Friends-of-Friends"
setting. That's a one-time set-it-and-forget-it deal. Nothing on my wall
is readable from any accounts I don't have directly in my Friends List, and
that's locked-in and accident-proof. It really is that simple. Even easy
   enough for a Mac user. ;) ;)

Again, nothing on my wall ever reaches anyone by accident, not even if I
were completely baked. It's locked in on the privacy settings, out of the
way where changing it by accident is just not likely. If you do that one
trick, you'll be as safe as you ever were using a newsgroup reader.

So the whole issue is a red herring. Anyone who can operate an NNTP
browsing agent can handle this as well, hopped-up or not.

As the "Daria" theme says... If I'm wrong, please correct. ( [LA-la-LAH]
   You're standing on my neck. [LA-la-LAH]... )
