   That is kinda how it works here too ..   
      
     A guy i work with has a little larger house BUT smaller property than   
   i have ..I do not  have a lot but it is a I/4 acer and i have a small   
   house so my back yard looks big ...   
     The guy i work with has a lager and newer house ..Not sure when his   
   was built ?  My house was built in I969 ...By the way two of my oak   
   trees were here then , i have a pic of my house from back then ( i did   
   not live in it of course but the pic was found on a website and a nabber   
   lady found it and framed it for me and it was not even painted yet )   
   anyway i have 3 large Oak trees and two were here then and one grew some   
   time after that pic ...   
     Back to friends house , his is larger and sits on I/8 acre BUT his   
   property taxes are 4,I00 $ for a year .....So the same thing his house   
   is in a different city and larger and newer than my house  so they have   
   a lot of different factors that go into property taxes ....+ school   
   levies and fire  fighters and police officers and hospitals  , they all   
   get a cut of the property taxes ..They have a break down on the bill how   
   much money go's to each thing ..   
     My friends place vs my place ..I like mine better because i like   
   having a decent size front  and side  of house  yard and a big back yard   
   all fenced in...   
     One thing i like about his house is the hard wood floors ..I can get   
   them here too , i just need to buy them and have them installed ,   
   ..That is a future project..
