XPost: alt.music.sarah_mclachlan       From: mjsteeves@sympatico.ca              Wow guys!       Wow!              I'm back from the Toronto show! Sarah was fan-fucking-tastic tonight!       She looked a little tired at first, and the crowd was also a little laid       back at the beginning too - so I wasn't expecting as good a show as the       Molson Ampitheatre concert was last year (The venue used for Afterglow       Live). But things quickly got better and better, Sarah's energy level       seemed to pick up as the show went on and the crowd must have felt it too!       That might have a lot to do with the setlist, but I've never seen so many       people leave a concert with such huge smiles on their faces raving about how       truly Excellent Sarah's performance was!!       She was pretty much at the top of her game except for very very minor       moments where she *might* have slipped up a *little* such as a missed       keystroke on Angel which she recovered from perfectly. She was quite       pleased to be back in Toronto and had a few funny things to say. She may       have revealed to the world that she doesn't mind it up the bum. Ooops! :)       hehehe       Surprises of the night included:        - the "new" live version of Hold On which is much closer to the FTE album       version than she's been playing in the last few years        - SOLSBURY HILL, performed flawlessly, with a LOT more confidence and flare       than on the version she recorded SIXTEEN YEARS AGO (and of course it would       be!).        - a very strange peacock shirt              Here's the setlist:       World On Fire       Building a Mystery       Adia       Perfect Girl       Drifting       Push       I Will Remember You       Time (not played on her last leg of the tour)       Blackbird       Fallen       Wait       Witness (I saw a few glowsticks!!)       Answer (it was before this song where she proclaimed she "likes it in the       end" and lost her composure a little in a fit of laughter)       Angel       Fear (Amazing as always)       Train Wreck       Stupid       Sweet Surrender       Possession (performed so well it got a standing ovation before we realized       it was her "last" song)       ---Encore 1---       Ice Cream (audience remained standing throughout most of the whole encore,       contributing better than ever to Ice Cream!)       Solsbury Hill (Huge response from the crowd! Amazing!)       Hold On       Fumbling Towards Ecstasy (people got to sit for this one, for a few moments       before the second standing ovation)       ---Encore 2---       Dirty Little Secret              TWENTY FOUR songs she played! Only one less than the show at the Molson       last year. She didn't play Ice, Elsewhere or the You Are My Sunshine intro       to the 'revamped' Hold On. Once again nothing from Solace made the cut, but       her revisiting Solsbury Hill more than made up for it! :)              I had SUCH A GOOD TIME at that show. Tonight really was magical. Was       anyone else there???              mike s              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
