   Came across the website of bassist Jim Hughart while researching who   
   played the bassline on the "Barney Miller" theme (there is some   
   disagreement...)   
      
   Anyway, if you click on the 'entire interview' link (scroll to the   
   bottom of the frame that scrolls) you'll find a couple of good Dan   
   tidbits. Not sure exactly what Dan stuff he played on  - anybody?   
      
   The non-Dan interview material is also quite interesting, especially a   
   discussion about why it's smart to hire jazz players no matter what   
   kind of music you're recording. I'll second that.
