   Just de-lurking for a minute to bring (admittedly belated) news for those   
   Danfans down under. At long, long last, Larry Carlton is coming to town. He   
   was supposed to be here in 1988 but an idiot with a pistol stopped that from   
   happening, so we've had to wait until now. He's playing the East Coast Blues   
   Festival at Byron Bay over Easter, as well as dates in Sydney, Melbourne and   
   Perth, with his band, The Larry Carlton Blues Project. The double whammy is   
   that joining Larry for the tour will be Robben Ford! Robben is a regular   
   visitor and always puts on a great show, and is a great guy who makes   
   himself available for a chat with fans before & after his shows.   
      
   Down here in the colonies we don't get the Dan on their "world" tours, so we   
   have to make do with what we can, especially an occasional gig from the   
   Bodacious Cowboys, a loose collection of local session muso's, and while   
   they're good, it's nothing like the real thing. But now we're actually going   
   to get part of the real thing! Can't wait. I can't imagine we're going to   
   get much Dan music - maybe Josie - but I don't care. Hope he brings his 335   
   with him.   
      
   The air is electric with excitement.
