   SOoooo. Steely Dan in Philly at the quite decent Tower Theater in a   
   few weeks.   
      
   I don't feel much in the way of anticipation. I guess it's the   
   setlist.   
      
   I was wondering why they've been so conservative. A stagefull of   
   world-class musicians, chained like dogs to predictable tunes and   
   arrangements, only occasionally set free to run. (I'll end that   
   analogy now before we get to Walter "leaving presents in the yard").   
      
   Anyway, if it's more of the same, I might pass. Shake things up, I'm   
   there.   
      
   You know, if it was "Playing Katy Lied in its entirity," that would   
   prick up my ears. Both the guys have interesting solo stuff that's   
   never been touched.   
      
   But I was surprised to find myself so apathetic. Since I'm usually   
   only pathetic.
