They didn't say it in Bonn, as far as I can remember, they complained
about the rain and felt sorry for the audience (It was an open air
concert, rain came down in buckets, the full 100 minutes). Some of my
observations to the show. Of cours it was perfect again, not one wrong
note, too perfect maybe. It is further from r & r than ever (yes I know
it's never been r&r). What once was a band (in Rotterdam a couple of
years ago it still was a sort of a band) has become a routine orchestra.

Becker looked very very old to me, a gnome almost, had hardly a job on
stage, most of the guitarwork done by Herington. Fagen's voice wasn't to
good in my opinion. Leaving the vocals of Dirty Work to the choir wasn't
really a succes, though the girls sing wonderful. And I don't understand
why Fagen left the vocal part of Haitian Divorce to Becker.
This was the 4th time I saw to a Steely Dan concert, I doubt whether
there will ever be another Europenan tour, if so, I won't be there. I'll
stick to the lp's and cd's.
