   Deep Purple was outstanding live. Ritchie Blackmore was a force to be   
   reckoned with, as was Jon Lord.   
      
   Best live band I've ever seen in terms of how much better they were   
   live than in studio was HEAD EAST. Those guys were AWESOME live. I   
   really didn't like any of their studio albums.   
      
   Let's see, who else... The Tubes, great live... Robin Trower, Stevie   
   Ray Vaughan, The Stray Cats, The Cars, Cheap Trick... how about Joe   
   Jackson, Elvis Costello, The Pretenders...
