   I'm not so sure you have an accurate read on "most critics".   The artist   
   rankings at acclaimedmusic.net aren't perfect but they're a pretty good   
   rough guide to critical consensus.  They rank the artists you mention as:   
            50.   Ramones   
            65.   Steely Dan   
            73.   P-Funk   
          161.  Skynyrd   
          260   CheapTrick
