   that today's generation really can't seem to appreciate the great music of   
   bands like Steely Dan?  I mean, the shit that is out today is so bad that   
   it's difficult not to get sick listening to it.  After all, music is art and   
   art never really dies.  A painting by some unknown artist might not really   
   be recognized until years after it's painted.  I'm thinking that a lot of   
   70's bands like Steely (who had tons of talent) will come back in style for   
   the younger generation at some point.   
      
   I was actually born in 1971, so it's not like a went to see Steely in their   
   prime, or grew up with their music, although I certainly remember songs like   
   Peg and Josie getting air play.  However, as I matured into my teens I   
   realized that 80's music sucked (for the most part-with some exceptions) and   
   I started listening to 60's and 70's rock.  Steely was a bit soft for me   
   initially, but then I heard songs like Showbiz Kids and I realized that   
   these guys were good, they had a sense of humor, they were intelligent and   
   had some excellent musicians.  Oh well, it's a shame.  I bought the Aja cd   
   and fell in love with their music right away.   
      
   Thanks for letting me bitch and moan about today's kids and the disgusting   
   music that gets played on radio today.  Even the classic rock stations will   
   only play about 3 songs by Steely Dan, don't really need to tell you what   
   those are....
