   Waves of rednecks blanketing the countryside? ;^) The University of Alabama   
   football team is known as the Crimson Tide, but I'm not sure where the term   
   came from.  Could it have originated from a red tide on Alabama's gulf   
   coast?  That is caused by an outbreak of algae which kills native shellfish.
