   Louis Armstrong was scheduled to play the newly completed Dorton Arena   
   here in Raliegh, NC. The arena seats approx. 5000.  Unfortunately, only   
   a small handfull of people showed up for the gig.  Louis granted an   
   interview after the show was cancelled by the promoters.  The   
   interviewer noticed tears welling up in Mr. Armstrongs eyes during   
   the interview.  Apparently, he was upset not because of the poor attendance,   
   but   
   because he didn't want the fans to think HE had let them down by
