   For Diane, and anyone else following our conversations about Total   
   Recorder .....I just found a way to have Total Recorder record and save   
   in MP3 format (I wish I had figured this out a long time ago - it   
   would've saved me mucho time and HD space!!).  All I had to do was copy   
   the DLL file that converts/creates MP3 files (in my case, lame_enc.dll)   
   into my Total Recorder directory and change the file type on the MP3 tab   
   in settings to MP3 from PCM!  Now, when I finish recording, I have the   
   option to save as an MP3 or a WAV.  DUH!!!
