Great show. My first time at Massey. Lower balcony left, 3rd row, 5th seat ,
about as far from centre as one could go. (nobody to my left)
I was the whining stranger about my seat while I waited for the band to come
on, thought everybody else there had a better view than me.
Then I realized I was above and only a little in front of Donalds keyboard.
I could see all the keys and when he came on I was treated to a great side
   view of him playing.
Sometimes just listening to the rich blend of sounds it's a bit hard for me
to pick out what part Donald is doing.
Last night I could see his every move. I laughed in pity at the poor souls
   in the front row seats.
They couldn't see his fingers gliding gently across the board or hammering
   the keys with evocative intensity,
or hovering during the jam portions, waiting, poised for the right moment
and inspiration to add some delicate contribution to the music .
As an extra bonus the backup singers directly faced me across the stage.
The backup singers to me have always been an essential element in the whole
Dan/DF sound and Carolyn Leonhart was as easy on the eyes as ever.
Drawback was I had no view at all of the horns. Could see everyone else
fine. The guitarists were close below and it was easy to see them work.

I went expecting most of the songs to be off the new cd and it was a real
treat to hear him do some of the old songs that I had never expected to be
   able to see him perform.
As well as the songs you mention he played...

   The Nightfly
   Green Flower Street
   New Frontier
   The Goodbye Look

   Black Cow
Home at Last (a fav of mine)

   Counter Moon
Snowbound ( I luv that tune. My dog and I have run into a few wolves on our
canoe trips north and I get a kick out of singing the line, "Wake me up when
the wolves come out to play" to him. He gets it!)

   Brite Nitegown (Awesome)
   Morph the Cat

Viva Rock and Roll (?) What did Donald say? a Chuck Berry song?
And a bluesy tune written by some west coast cat.

I would have liked to hear one or two more off of Kamakriad
What's up with the summer tour, is it for sure happening?
