   "Modal meanderings" - very nice. I agree with your post. Walter has   
   ripped off (or more likely, patched together) some killer studio   
   solos,  esp. on Aja, but lately just kind of wanders around, throwing   
   in an occasional scale. I'm not nuts about that splanky tone of his   
   either. But I love ya just the same, Walt!   
      
   I've been listening to the boot of the Philly show, and it confirms   
   what I posted after I attended, that the soloing was very tentative,   
   especially on the part of the guitarists. Krantz impressed me, but   
   mainly because I really disliked his work on the 2000 tour. He's   
   improved.   
      
   Those two were also incredibly boring to watch. It's a rock show,   
   guys; move around a little, try to act like you're having fun. I don't   
   think either of them moved 6 inches between the start and end of the   
   show; shoe-gazer both.   
      
   Flame me, but I miss Drew Zingg.
