|    Report from the San Diego Show    |

From: fake@msn.com              The concert was at an Indian casino 30 miles out of town.       I won 10 bucks at video poker before the show!              The set list:              Here at the Western World       Green Flower Street       The Nightfly       New Frontier       (DF introduces band)       What I Do       Home at Last       The Goodbye Look       Countermoon       Maxine       Tomorrow's Girls       Brite Nitegown       Black Friday              Encore:              Pretzel Logic       IGY       Viva Rock and Roll              Maxine was fantastically luscious! DF, Carolyn and Cynthia harmonized       the whole thing except for the "Mexico City" verse which featured a       solo by Carolyn. (I bought her "Steal the Moon" CD when she 1st       released it btw, it's nice.) I've always liked Maxine, and it was       probably one of the best songs of the night for me.              I didn't care at all for the new arrangement of Western World. But       other than that the show was great for me. Cynthia did some standout       ad-lib vocalizing near the end of IGY that just rocked and got a wild       applause.              Brite Nitegown and Black Friday finally woke up the laid-back San       Diego crowd, which was shivering in the cold indian reservation night       (elevation 2200 ft.). DF even commented on the temp, and Carolyn and       Cynthia were dressed warmly.              I was disappointed that they didn't play Third World Man or Snowbound.       The entire audience was on their feet during the encores.              The outdoor facility holds about 1,000 seats and looked to be about       90% full.              User              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
