   LOL I'll agree with you on not trusting anyone named Cedric. However,   
   most people named Cedric in America are black... so that could come   
   across as a little racist.   
      
   Anyway, as I said earlier, he did pen some good songs while he was   
   working with the Doobs. But since then, look at his solo career...   
   don't take my word for it, read the reviews... or just listen to the   
   albums. No one yet here has answered my previous question. Have you   
   actually listened to ever single Michael Mcdonald album? I have, and   
   I've heard every single damn Steely Dan recording. You are trying to   
   tell me that I "don't get Steely Dan". Sure I do, you just feel   
   threatened because someone has a differing opinion... that's no reason   
   to get your knickers in a knot. You want everyone to agree and be   
   happy and artificial.   
      
   And no this is not the equivalent of Larry Carlton guesting on the   
   tour. Larry Carlton has released some damn good music in the past 20   
   years. Michael Mcdonald has released nothing but schlock in the past   
   20 years...

   Since 1982's If that's what it takes, Motown II and the Christmas   
   album are the only two MM albums to get good reviews. Since 1982, he's   
   released 5 frisbees, horrible sales, horrible reviews... and more   
   importantly, I don't like them. And now what does he put out? Covers,   
   Covers... and more Covers. Why does he release so many cover albums?   
   Cuz he can't write a decent song no mo'.
