To map polar opposites of Steely Dan one will have to characterize SD and
   then choose the antipodes.
Could result in the following criteria:

   - absolutely no swing but a very tight unsquare rithme
   - no background in American/European popular music culture
   - only simple chords and simple chords alone
   - no vocals
   - completely different instrumentation
   - live recorded
   - main performers women (not to say young girls)
   - no humor
   - plain stupid

Giving it some thought I possibly could come up with candidates that will do
in a combination of 2 or 3 of these criteria - but all? I don't know a young
   aboriginal girl playing didgeridoo....
