I remember all to clearly how he destroyed the Doobies when he joined
them - all of a sudden they were dominated by synths consequently they went
all soft and to soft rock.

I fear the same may happen on the Dan tour - I just hope the dans identity
and distinctive sound (albeit evolving into introspective smooth jazz?)
doesn't get diluted too much by MM.

I just don't see why they need him ?

Incidentally what I am really upset about is the recent albums of the Dan -
Dontcha feel they have lost the quirkiness and 'edge' ?
