   I dunno, sometimes I think Herrington's got more of a versatile edge than   
   Becker.  Becker nowadays at least, is a bit too of much of a 'noodler' for   
   me.  Don't get me wrong, he's a damn good guitarist, just not my style.   
   Now, give the man a bass and for me, he's up there with Rainey, Clarke,   
   Pastorius, McCartney, etc.   
      
   Speaking of guitarists, isn't a shame when 70/80's greats (Ritenour,   
   Carlton, etc) ease into their later years with a helping of smooth jazz?  I   
   like jazz, smooth, fusion, etc. and now and then, smooth/dinner jazz is   
   cool, but c'mon, let us have something a bit more colourful.  Grow old
