   It's nice to hear that he was channelling Rainey, as well as, presumably,   
   putting himself in there too. Shame about the live sound, but that's the way   
   it is with most large venues, unfortunately - at least it is over here in   
   the UK. I was disappointed on the two occasions I saw them when they came   
   over here (96 and 00, if I recall), that it was difficult to hear the bass,   
   particularly. I read somewhere (might be on his site   
   http://www.chuckrainey.com/) that Chuck Rainey wouldn't want to play with   
   them live, because from what he's heard of their live sound, it wouldn't be   
   possible for the listener to pick out his parts!
