"The Strength of One Vote"
The Alternative to being neither Conservative nor Liberal
Both the Republicans and Democrats have hocked this country during their
running of the country. It doesn't make any difference who's in the White
House or who’s in power in Congress, nothing changes. It's just different
pork barrel spending. This
nation has been sold overseas to the highest bidder by both parties. No one in
Washington has any guts to stand up to the status quo and say enough is
enough. They either take from the poor and give to the rich or take from the
rich and give the poor
just barely enough to live on so they have no motivation to improve their
lives. And nothing ever changes, it just swings a little to the right or left.
This Conservative/Liberal fight is a failure and an utter disgrace to what
this country was founded
on.
What is needed is a new approach of our way of government to solve serious
problems. Doing things the same way while expecting different results has
driven this nation’s politics to insanity. It is time for a “Real”
change.
1. We need absolute term limits on all public elected offices in this country.
No one can have more than two terms in any position and they cannot ever hold
that position again once they have served.
2. All taxes need to be replaced with a single 10% national final sales
consumption tax.
3. All political parties need to be disbanded and everyone become an
Independent American. All candidates run on his /her record, qualifications,
and platform.
4. We still have Primaries and General Elections; the only difference is we
are reducing the field from however many people want to run to a field of two
or three and the winner of the General Election must receive 51% or more to be
elected.
5. All candidates must post for all to see everything they have ever done:
good, bad, and ugly; what they did from age 18 on and include all arrests,
traffic tickets, and civil actions including divorces, to their greatest
accomplishments with verifiable
documentation.
6. All candidates wishing to run for office must submit a position paper with
solutions to what they see as the most pressing issues of the time.
7. All campaign contributions outlawed except those received directly from
voting age individuals not to exceed $25 per person per candidate.
8. A candidate cannot use his own money to run for office.
9. All lobbying, of national, state and local offices and governmental
departments becomes illegal.
10. All elected officials must live under the same rules and laws as all
Americans. No special pensions, health care or privileges.
11. The Electoral College is disbanded and all presidential elections are
determined by popular vote count.
12. A Balanced Budget Amendment needs to be passed.
13. SSA funds would remain in the SSA Trust account and can not be used for
anything but SSA payouts to qualified recipients. It is completely autonomous
from the rest of the government’s accounts. it is out of the General Budget
but must be balanced
with any excess remaining in the SSA Trust Fund
We need a simple litmus test for all legislation as follows:
Said Legislation Litmus Test is as follows:
1. The Legislation cannot diminish nor impinge upon the United States
Constitution or the Bill of Rights in any manner in dealing with an individual
or group.
2. The Legislation must show balance and reasoned thought. No individual or
particular group may gain excessive advantage over another individual or
group. If an individual or group receives special consideration in order to
achieve parity in some area,
that consideration shall have specific parameters and time constraints. The
end results must bring balance to the community through Education,
Empowerment, and Elevation.
3. The Legislation shall be closely evaluated upon the following criteria:
A. What is its goal? Does it elevate, educate, or empower indivi
ual(s)/group(s)? How does it affect/benefit the community?
B. How does it affect/benefit other groups/communities?
C. How does it affect/benefit the city, county, state, regional area, the
United States?
D. What means shall be engaged to counter any perceived negative affects to
other groups/communities?
E. The cost Legislation would be required to be fully funded through the
general budget or by generating it’s own balanced cash flow while
maintaining the Balanced budget.
F. A Summary of Goal Achievements is required at predetermined intervals
during the time the Legislation is in force to determine its success, failure,
extension, or termination. An End Date must also be projected.
G. If Legislation does not meet its Summary of Goal Achievements in the
specified period it automatically terminates.
