XPost: alt.religion.druid, soc.culture.breton, alt.spirituality.druid       XPost: alt.traditional.witchcraft       From: dalton@nfld.com              I understand that druid new moon, six days after new moon, so       tomorrow (Tuesday) is the time when Breton druids cut the       mistletoe with a golden sickle (shaped like the moon?).              What is the mystical significance of this and when did it       originate, and who originated it if known? Also what       time of the day is the mistletoe cut, morning or evening       (I would guess around sunset). Do any other than       Breton druids do this as well?              Correct me if I have any of the above incorrect.       Pointers to web pages would also be welcome       as would followups to this post.              David       http://www.nfld.com/~dalton/dtales.html (Salmon on the Thorns)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
