   An unexpectedly fruitful place to look may be old Korean comic books. I used   
   to collect a few when I was in high school, many of them being   
   reinterpretations of traditional Korean myths...they were captivating. Very   
   stark and stylistically different from other myths/art of the region.   
      
   I honestly can't remember the names of any of the characters or comics though.
