   Jesus is supposed to have changed water to wine.

   on alt.religion.islam  stated that   
   Osiris and Dionysus/Bacchus are also said to have   
   changed water to wine at a marriage ceremony.   
      
   I have also read years ago that some Hindu mystics   
   (or avatars?) are said to have changed water into   
   wine.  (Perhaps someone on alt.religion.hindu can   
   give more details including names.)   
      
   I claim that what all these figures really did   
   is to change FROM DRINKING water to DRINKING wine,   
   probably at full moon.   I base that on my   
   personal experience, in that I have learned to   
   abstain from alcohol 1.0 to 9.0 days before full moon.
