   Imagine a world where all of us had been brought up on these bloody   
   scary tales instead of a constant diet of syrupy cute-kitten pieces of   
   literary fluff. We'd grow up fully aware that life can be hard and   
   cruel and unfair and nasty. We'd have far fewer traumas as adults when   
   bad shit happens and we are confronted with the fact that reality does   
   not match the feelgood happy-clappy claptrap we were peddled as kids...
