   Did Hindu avatars have deities of their own or did they   
   get their openings of the way done via their own abilities?   
      
   Years ago I referred to myself as an avatar type but   
   more recently I have been referring to such figures,   
   including myself and Rama and Krishna, as ootws   
   (Openers of the Way).
