   Now as I have noted before several times, either the last quarter moon   
   or first quarter moon can be envisaged as a cup tipping blessings on   
   the earth, and if a stem is envisaged on said cup it is then a wine   
   glass or a grail.   
      
   Are there any associations in what you know of religion, folklore   
   and mythology of last quarter or first quarter moon with a drinking   
   vessel such as a cup or grail?      Someone once commented   
   to me that the Egyptians may have had such an association.
