   incantations.” (Ancient Near Eastern Texts Relating to the Old Testament)   
   According to the same source, this myth “offers the closest and most striking   
   parallel to biblical material as yet uncovered in Sumerian literature.” The   
   Babylonian and Assyrian    
   civilizations, which came later, were influenced by the Sumerian.
