   Thanks for the message. I don't think it is because of the endocrine system   
   at all, but rather a change in consciousness, ;partially because the mother   
   becomes more right brain hemishere oriented. I know what you mean by peyote   
   trip - pregnancy can have that effect at times.

   Some identify with great mother goddess images while others feel fat and   
   ruined.   
      
     Almost all of them become somewhat irrational.   
      
   This is so. The expectant mother becomes more instinctive, intuitive and   
   less rational.
